Blackberry Crisp To Go

Ingredients
10 16 oz mason jars
8-10 cups of fresh blackberries
2 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups of oats
1 cup of Crisco
5 tsp of white sugar
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients, except blackberries and white sugar, in a large bowl with a pastry cutter or forks, until you have a coarse crumb consistency. Add about 2 tablespoons of crumb to each jar. Then fill each jar with blackberries to the top (berries will cook down substantially). Sprinkle ? ? 1 teaspoon of white sugar over berries in each jar, then top with a couple more tablespoons of crumb. Place all the jars on a large baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes. The fruit should be bubbling and the topping golden brown. Cool completely; the jars will be hot! Once cooled, top with whip cream or vanilla ice cream and enjoy. If you want to take the jars on the go, simply transport with lids once cooled. Keep cool until ready to eat and add whipped cream or ice cream at destination.
